LekkerBets review: a .co.za name on the UK register

LekkerBets fact file

Who LekkerBets is for

LekkerBets suits a reader who likes a brand with some personality and wants sport, casino and bingo in one account. "Lekker" is Afrikaans and South African slang for good or nice; it is branding, not a promise about odds or bonuses.

It will suit you less if a .co.za address makes you uneasy. That is a reasonable reaction, and the answer is to check the register yourself rather than rely on the address or on our word.

Sports betting at LekkerBets

The sportsbook sits alongside the casino on the same wallet. The brand leans towards sport, so check whether the competitions you follow are covered and how in-play betting works before you fund the account.

If the site shows odds in a format you are not used to, switch it in the settings. Knowing what a price means in pounds before you stake is more useful than any welcome offer.

LekkerBets casino and bingo

The casino section has slots, table games and live dealer tables, and bingo rooms run on a schedule.

A homepage can promote different sections depending on the campaign you arrived from. Once you are signed in, confirm that the casino and bingo sections are actually available on your account.

The LekkerBets welcome offer

Read the promotions page for available offers and their terms.

Read the offer terms on the site, paying particular attention to the qualifying deposit, the wagering and the expiry. If anything in the terms is unclear, ask customer support before you deposit rather than after.

Is LekkerBets licensed in the UK?

A web address ending in .co.za is a South African country code, but a domain name is not a licence. The check that matters for UK players is whether the domain is listed on a Gambling Commission licence, and lekkerbets.co.za is listed on the register as a white-label domain of ProgressPlay Limited.

Search the domain on the Gambling Commission public register to see the listing for yourself.

Deposits and withdrawals at LekkerBets

Open the cashier before depositing and check the currency, the withdrawal methods and any fees.

If the cashier shows a currency other than pounds, your bank may add a conversion cost to every deposit and withdrawal, which is worth knowing before you start.

Related: PayPal casinos, pay by mobile and stated withdrawal times.

Staying in control at LekkerBets

Check the currency before you set a deposit limit at LekkerBets, so the number means what you think it means. Reality checks, time-outs and self-exclusion should sit in the account area alongside it.

A self-exclusion at one brand may not reach its sister sites. GAMSTOP covers every UK-licensed operator in one step, and our safer gambling page lists free, confidential support.

The BetNook view on LekkerBets

LekkerBets is a characterful sportsbook-casino whose UK standing rests on the register listing, not on its web address. Check that listing, check the currency in the cashier, and read the welcome terms in full before you commit any money.
